About cleaning in The Annex

Shared houses, rental units, single-family homes — we clean all three, differently.

The Annex is genuinely mixed: family-owned Victorian semis that have been there for decades, houses converted into two or three rental units, and a few single-family homes that never got chopped up. Each needs a slightly different approach.

We own two rental units in the Annex and needed someone who'd actually coordinate with tenants.

For landlords with tenanted units, we coordinate directly with whoever's home and keep a consistent schedule so the property stays presentable between showings and turnovers. For families, it's the usual routine — kitchen, bathrooms, floors, the rooms that get used hardest.

A lot of these houses are 90-plus years old, with original trim, hardwood and sometimes knob-and-tube quirks the current owner knows about but we should too — tell us anything unusual about the house before the first visit.

We have tenants in part of the house — can you coordinate with them directly? +

Yes. Tell us who to contact for each unit and we'll schedule directly with them, so you don't have to be the go-between for every visit.

The house is old — do you know how to handle original woodwork and hardwood? +

Yes. A lot of Annex houses have original trim and floors, and we adjust our products and approach accordingly. Flag anything specific — like knob-and-tube areas to avoid — before the first visit.

What does it cost? +

It depends on the size of your home, how often you want us, and what kind of clean you're after. We quote over a short phone call rather than an online calculator — a few questions about your place, then a real number, usually the same day. New clients get $50 off that first clean.

Do I need to be home? +

Most of our clients aren't. Leave a key or an access code and we'll store it securely and follow your instructions exactly. You'll get a message when the team arrives and a summary when they're done.

What if something isn't done properly? +

Tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and redo it, free. If you're still not happy after that, we refund the clean. No form, no argument about whether it counts.
